Ploughman's
Lunch at the Flower Pots at Cheriton, Hants. Damn fine pint (mid brown, fruity bre with a nice light malt after taste) and a basic Ploughman's. What a perfect Tuesday lunchtime.

Brainbox
My favourite TV programme - University Challenge. Fiendish questions for swots and brainboxes from British Universities compered by the smug Jeremy Paxman, the Rottweiler of political interviewers. I always root against Oxbridge colleges, but too often they win. As did super know-it-alls Corpus Christi Oxford (er, that means body of Christ doesn't it), tonight.

Daily?
So, there's this really neat tool called Blogger Bot on Hello. It allows you to post pictures to your Blogger blog.
Only, for the last three days it hasn't worked. So, apologies for the lack of Donut's Daily Daguerreotype. I will try a work around posting through Blogspot Plus.

8 Items or Less
Emergency provisions required for tonight's dinner. I'm a Sainsbury's man; but it had to be Tesco Metro at the corner of Bedford Street and New Row. There was a time that it was difficult to find a supermarket in Central London. Not now with Sainsbury's Local or Central and Tesco Express and Metro, helping the demise of local shops.

Tonight's "recording session". Gastr del Sol's "Serpentine Similar" to delight my ears tomorrow.

Quorn Cacciatore
Meanwhile, back in the kitchen, here is a variation on one of my favourite meals when I was a teenager.
Quorn fillets
Red Pepper
200g mushrooms
Canned Tomatoes
50g fresh spinach
Basil garnish
Sear the fillets for 5 minutes. Ditto the pepper and mushrooms. Add fillets and tomatoes. Season and simmer for 20 minutes. Add spinach until it wilts. Serve with rice.

Dragon Breath
St David's Day. He's the patron saint of Wales*, y'know. And, it brings out the daffodils this time of year.
