There's a hosepipe ban here. Caught using your hosepipe to water the garden or wash your car and you will wind up with a fine.

Is that like the spigot on your house that water comes out of.
I think we call it here a house spigot.

I love learning new things. But why the ban? Water shortage? Drought?
Or is this a normal thing?
I have well water myself, so droughts are of particular concern for me. So far, so good, though.
